Umodzi SACCO demonstrated its commitment to community development and social responsibility through a donation event held at Malingunde School for the Blind on 16th October 2025 at Malingunde Primary School Hall.

The event brought together teachers from surrounding schools, representatives from Malingunde Health Centre, community members, and learners. Activities included a moving song performance by the students, an interactive quiz hosted by Coach Miracle, and inspirational speeches from Umodzi SACCO Chief Executive Officer Mrs. E. Chinjala, Board Member Mr. Chilambula, and Guest of Honour Madam Grace.

A highlight of the event was the testimony shared by two visually impaired teachers from Lilongwe Girls Secondary School, who encouraged the learners to remain focused on their education and pursue their dreams despite challenges.

As part of the initiative, Umodzi SACCO donated 10 bags of maize, 2 bags of soya pieces, 2 bales of sugar, 1 bag of kitchen salt, 2 boxes of Mulawe cooking oil, 8 boxes of Ufresh, 5 reams of bill paper, and assorted clothes to support the learners. In addition, five top-performing students received branded laptop bags in recognition of their academic excellence.

The donation reflects Umodzi SACCO's continued dedication to supporting education, promoting inclusion, and making a positive impact in the communities it serves.
